Business blogs are used
as tools to create better ways to communicate with the company’s customers,
potential customers, and past customers. Blogs are easy to start and maintain,
which makes it a no-brainer for businesses to have one. Templates are
already made, the blog is easy to customize, and also easy to update. Another
great thing about blogs is that there aren't stipulations on blogs
the way there are on other social media sites. On Twitter and Facebook your
followers don’t want you to post long stories or lots of information, but that
is what a blog is for. Your audience will go to the blog to find more
information on subjects they care about from a source that the audience trusts.
In a study done in 2011,
blogs ranked number four on the list of social media platforms that are most
importantly being used. Since 2011 social media has only become more prevalent.
Of all social media, “blogs are indicated as the one area that will see the greatest
increase in activity in 2012.” (Barrick, 2012)
A blog for Snapple
would be a great way for the company to communicate more effectively with their
buyers. Snapple has a fact under every cap of their product. The company would
benefit from a blog by having an area of their blog that customers could read
facts, discover why Snapple has facts, and read stories that were caused
because of Snapple and the facts. In fact, Snapple does have a link on their
website to athlete’s blogs that are sponsored by Snapple. This is a great way
for Snapple to connect with their audience interested in sports. It’s awesome
to learn about what athletes are doing, and this blog is perfect for that!
(Snapple, 2013)
Everyone should
use a blog, especially professional businesses.
